Hurricane Helen
I met Helen at a dive in Vegas
She was a good looker but kinda lost
She followed me back to Tennessee
Because she had a thing for men like me
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane Helen
That’s what I used to call her
When I was young an full of the devil
She haunted the joints where I spent my time
Slept where she could and lost her mind
Trying to win me however she could
And not getting lost like she should’ve
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane Helen
That’s what I used to call her
When I was young an full of the devil
Lord, I didn’t ask her to follow me
But I ain’t gonna say I didn’t like it
And I gave her wads of money
Even roughed her up just a little bit
Trying to make her go away…
But she’d always come back in a couple days
So, I pilled and used her till she was empty
Then passed her around like a bottle of whiskey
Till she was the crazy strung-out sight
That jumped to her death one summer night
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane Helen
That’s what I used to call her
When I was young an full of the devil
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane Helen
That’s what I used to call her
When I was young an full of the devil
When I was young and full of the devil
When I was young
And full of the devil
