Your Pretty Head

I wanna move with you
Like a natural instinct
Transcending thought and sin with the grace of a God

But I must be a window
The way you look through me
I wonder what it is you see from your breathless view

What goes on in there?
Inside your head
Your pretty head
Your pretty head

I’ve seen your wheels turning
About my body language
It’s as right as summer rain or a winter-kill

And I’m trying to spook you
Through the fertile plains
But you won’t play the games of enlightening design

What goes on in there?
Inside your head

Someday I’ll find a shaft of light that shows me a secret door
To all the chambers high and wide where your thoughts litter the floor
And by fire and wax I’ll winter in and master your subtle tongue
And I’ll call upon the elements, the laws and veiled dimensions

And I’ll crawl inside
Your pretty head
